Eating at Bebek Bengil in Ubud

Bebek Bengil a.k.a Dirty Duck in Indonesian, is one of the most famous restaurants in Ubud. most people visit the restaurant for the beautiful scene and atmosphere. The restaurant is surrounded by nature. Lots of trees and grass really set up the mood for some relaxing time and food of course. It’s really a great experience to eat while enjoying the scenery. The service is also excellent. The staff are very friendly and they’re always ready to serve you. The menu is long. Duck, steak, desert and etc. You should try as many as you can while you’re there.

Doing Some Yoga at the Yoga Barn

If you love or want to try yoga, you should visit Yoga Barn. Yoga Barn was created with the sole purpose to bring the community together as a mean to give back to the island of Bali. it’s located at the center of Ubud, or the cultural hub of Bali. Launched in 2007, they offer a full-service yoga studio and holistic healing retreat center.

You’ll notice that unlike yoga places or gym in a city, Yoga Barn is much better thanks to nature surrounding it. The air, scenery and yoga training will give your mind a lot of positive vibes. Yoga Barn open all year from 7 am to 9 pm. There are over 15 classes and workshops every single day to choose from. The staff have deep knowledge about yoga, they can teach you a wide range of traditional yoga styles such as Classical Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Power, Panayama, Restorative, Iyengar, Kundalini, Yin & Anusara. You can also try their Center for Wellness and Healing. It offers private sessions with experts at Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, Naturopathy and many more. If you want to stay longer at the site, there is a café with a great menu and a Juice Bar that makes fresh drinks.

Visiting Sidemen Valley

Sidemen Valley is located at Karangasem regency in East Bali. Don’t get too confused by the name. Sidemen is the perfect place to get away from the crowd or busy city life. Many tourists consider Sidemen Valley to be a hidden gem, a very underrated tourist spot. This makes Sidemen Valley an even better place since there are only a few people visiting each day.

In Sidemen Valley, you’ll see all green in every corner, complete with an occasional colorful flower field. There are many farmers working in the fields, and the locals are friendly as they greet as they walk by. Just taking a stroll here is such a wonderful experience on its own. You can see the wonderful Mount Agung standing still from far away covered by the morning mists. The calming atmosphere, the locals busy with their life and traditional culture and clothing will make immerse in the life at Sidemen Valley.

You may also observe the daily life of the Balinese at Sidemen Valley, one of the most popular places is the weaving center. The weaving center is where all the traditional clothing come from. You’ll see a lot of women working there, using a traditional yet complicated tool. The sound that the tools make is oddly calming and relaxing. If you could wake up early in the morning, try visiting the traditional market. Witness the busy life of merchants and buyers that you never see before.

Snorkeling in Amed

You love swimming and diving or just love the ocean? Then Amed Beach is the perfect place for you. A beautiful underwater playground that attracts a lot of people mainly consist of divers. Amed Beach was once known as the most popular place for traditional salt farming and it’s now a very popular spot for some entertainment. There are many hotels around the beach that you can use as the base before you enjoy the whole area.

There are also two famous shipwrecks in the area, USAT Liberty a US cargo and WWII Japanese patrol wreckage. The water is clear with a bustling sea life. If you’re looking for something more extreme, you can try free diving. It’s a recent addition of things to do in Amed.
